ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Generate IT Network Cabling bids based on college wiring standards, procedures, and practices as directed . • Install, improve, and repair network infrastructure and equipment including, but not limited to, network cabling, jacks, face places, racks, patch panels, surface molding, surface mount boxes. • Maintain stock and materials for various wiring components through IT Purchasing & IT Inventory. • Respond, troubleshoot, and repair IT infrastructure as needed through the IT work order system. • Assist with installation and maintenance of wireless access points as directed. • Assist with basic network device configuration as directed. • Create, maintain and update IT wiring documentation for current and future projects as well as wiring standards as new technologies emerge. Qualifications • Completed IT 2400 course Basic understanding of network physical infrastructure design. • Basic understanding of wiring standards • Ability to operate and understand IT wiring tools, meters, and techniques. • Ability to multitask and prioritize a diverse and changing workload. • Good oral and written communication skills.
